Yesterday, 17th July 2026, we went to Canterbury to the Institute of Heraldic & Genealogical Studies where I was presented with my Diploma certificate.
There was a marquee in the walled garden where we had a buffet lunch, it was an opportunity to meet my tutor, other tutors and other students who were also being presented with certificates.
This was the culmination of 6 years of study and a very happy moment in time.
Professor Turi King was also there being presented with the Julian Bickerstaff medal for outstanding contributions to genealogy and genetic genealogy (King Richard III / BBC2 DNA Family Secrets).
I'm looking forward to going to a talk at Colchester Charter Hall by Professor Turi King next month.
I could now put the letters "Dip.Gen" after my name.
