Family History Research
Are you interested in your family history, but don’t know where to start? Maybe even thinking of a different or unusual gift for a birthday or anniversary? Looking for a friendly person to help you? I have 30 years’ experience in doing my own research and I am in the process of studying and getting qualified with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies.
I worked for Suffolk Libraries for 30 years and as a result I have a methodical and organised approach to my work.
I have a passion for family history and social history, in fact, I'm a bit of a geek. I absolutely love doing the research and I am subscribed to the major ancestry research web sites already, so you don’t need to. I have access to the following:
-
Birth, marriage & death indexes
-
Census returns
-
Parish records
-
Wills & probate
-
Directories and newspaper archives.
-
Military records
I can help with:
-
Brick walls
-
One off searches
-
Family tree construction and bigger projects
-
Tracking down births, marriages, deaths
-
Census returns
-
Newspaper archives
If it's not listed here just ask me, I may be able to help you or point you in the right direction.
