I have over 30 years of experience in conducting my own research and I am working towards a Higher Certificate with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies. I am an AGRA Associate (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) and as such I abide by their code of conduct and ethics. I am also committed to continuing professional development.  I bring a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in tracing family trees. My background working for Suffolk Libraries for three decades has further honed my methodical and organized approach to research.

I have a passion for family history and social history, and I take great joy in immersing myself in the research process, and my commitment to being extremely methodical means that no detail will go unexplored.

I have access to a wide range of resources and databases to aid in my research, including:

  • Birth, marriage & death indexes

  • Census returns

  • Parish records

  • Wills & probate

  • Directories and newspaper archives.

  • Military records

Whether you are seeking to trace your family lineage, discover fascinating stories from the past, or compile a detailed family history report, I can help with:

  • Brick walls

  • One off searches

  • Family tree construction and bigger projects

  • Tracking down births, marriages, deaths
