I currently collect and process the following information:

 

Name and contact details of clients i.e. telephone number, e mail address, home address and names and dates of birth and marriage of some living relatives that you may want to include in the family tree.

 

Any contact information you provide me with will be stored in my online address book / contacts in my secure Outlook e mail or on paper in my office.

 

Some information such as yours and close relatives’ names, date of births and marriages may be stored on Ancestry web site but will be set to private. In addition, Ancestry web site automatically sets living people to private.

 

This information is provided by you directly to enable me to start any family history research you have requested and to contact you with the results of that research.

 

I will not share this personal information with any outside parties or organisations.

 

All personal information will be treated in strict confidence.

 

You are able to remove your consent for me to have this information at any time by contacting me directly and I will destroy or remove it.

 

Your data protection rights

 

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

 

  • Your right to access

 

  • Your right to rectification

 

  • Your right to erasure

 

  • Your right to restriction of processing

 

  • Your right to object to processing

 

  • Your right to data portability.
